The UK Modern Slavery Act of 2015 requires certain businesses to provide disclosure concerning their efforts to address the issues of slavery and human trafficking in their business and supply chains.

About FK Group

FK Group Ltd is a national specialist building contractor, specialising in the supply and installation of full building envelopes, roofing, cladding and facades. With offices in Altrincham, Doncaster, Birmingham, Grimsby and Newton Aycliffe, The Group and its subsidiaries of FK Construction Ltd, FK Facades Ltd, and FK Projects Ltd employs around 160 people and turnover for 2020/21 forecast at £88m.

Our policies on modern slavery and human trafficking

FK Group Ltd does not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our organisation.

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own businesses or those of our suppliers and our Ethical Policy has been amended to reflect this commitment.

Our supply chain

Our supply chain includes companies who supply specialist products and systems, labour-only sub­contractors, fabrication specialists and providers of professional services.

We undertake all reasonable and practical steps, via education, assessment and the implementation of systems and controls, to ensure that our standards are being implemented throughout the businesses of our suppliers and that relevant legislation
and regulations are complied with.

We will only trade with those who fully comply with this policy and reserve the right to terminate our relationship with a supplier if issues of non-compliance with our policies are discovered and/or noncompliance is not addressed in a timely manner.

We have also implemented systems to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains
  • Monitor any potential risk areas via ongoing audit and assessment
  • Introduce PQQs for labour-only sub-contractors reinforcing our ethical standards and highlighting their obligation to comply with our prohibition of forced labour, child labour and physically abusive disciplinary practices

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Group’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year 2019/20 as approved by the Board in December 2020.
